Press release April 5, 2022
Waystream develops and supplies access switches for the FTTH (Fibre to the Home) market across Europe. Buchholz Digital, in Lower Saxony, Germany, has now chosen to use Waystream technology to build and expand its FTTH networks. The value of the order is approximately 1.4 MSEK and was concluded through Waystream’s partner, BMA Networks in Hamburg. Deliveries will take place in 2022.
“We opted for Waystream’s products because we needed extremely reliable and fast access switch deliveries. For us, as a growing company, this is a crucial criterion. We are delighted to have found in Waystream a partner who not only delivers on short notice, but also provides high quality equipment,” says Jens Moje, member of the technical service team at Buchholz Digital.
“Together with our partner, BMA Networks, we welcome Buchholz Digital from Germany to the Waystream family. With Germany being one of our target markets, it is great to have another German operator choose our products when building the next generation of FTTH networks. It shows that our network products meet the requirements of the local market in Germany and that we, together with our partners, can help operators to develop their broadband Internet”, Fredrik Lundberg, CEO of Waystream.
“We are delighted that the customer is investing in Waystream’s products. The decision was made, on the one hand, for Waystream to offer quality and scalable FTTH products, and on the other hand, for Waystream to deliver the equipment immediately, which is vital today,” said Bernd Berger, BMA Networks.
