AT&T has a brand new branded smartphone dubbed the Fusion 5G, ready just in time for CES 2022. And, as the brand might imply here, this handset is designed to bring the best of 5G and respectable specs on a budget. . After AT&T RADIANT Max 5G from last year.
What sets AT&T Fusion 5G apart from its competitors
Now 5G smartphones are already quite widely available. Even in the budget smartphone segment. Where AT&T Fusion 5G differs from most of them is in the breadth of its support for next-generation networks. Namely, through its support for both AT & T’s 5G sub-6 and its super-fast mmWave network, where applicable.
Of course, the inclusion of HBO Max for customers on AT & T’s Unlimited Elite plan doesn’t hurt either. And neither does 64GB expandable storage, fingerprint scanner, or unspecified octa-core processor.
AT&T hasn’t detailed too many other specifications for this handset, as of this writing. But the cameras and display in place here should also be top notch. Starting with the 13-megapixel selfie snapper, integrated into the larger-than-life 6.82-inch scratch-resistant screen. This screen is also rated with HD + resolution.
On the back of the handset, AT&T Fusion 5G has an array of four cameras, led by a 48-megapixel snapper and dual-LED flash. Popular shooting modes, including ultra-wide panorama mode and portrait mode, are also part of this bundle.
Finally, AT&T says wireless charging and fast charging are part of the offer. Ensuring that users can get the most out of their device over the course of a day, and that refueling is quick, just in case the 4,750mAh battery isn’t enough.
Pricing and availability
In terms of availability, the new AT&T Fusion 5G is currently expected to arrive at the company for purchase towards the end of CES 2022, starting January 7. It also won’t cost an arm and a leg as shown above. Instead, the gadget, only available in a 64GB variant, starts at just $ 219.99. With prices available starting at $ 6.12 per month with no trade-in required. And this for new and existing customers.
